OHH INSTRUCTORS
Lexi Hanna
Hello, my name is Lexi! This school year I am a sophomore at Maple Grove Senior High. This season I play on the Maple Grove Girls Basketball Varsity team. I am an A-student, and in an AP course, and pride myself on getting good grades. This summer I will be playing AAU for Crossfire Girls Basketball. I started playing basketball in second grade and have loved every minute of my basketball journey. Anyone can tell you that I may not always be the most talented kid on the court, but I work harder to make up for it. I can instill this mindset into your child and teach them how to play the right way. I also love working with kids; they are always so happy and lively, and they make me laugh which I love!
Monticello Boys Varsity Basketball and Crossfire Coach Bridge Tusler
“Lexi, Addie, Bella, and Jordan are relentless when it comes to hoops. I have had the privilege of coaching these girls and training the Hannas. Over my time of coaching, I have seen each individual grow into their own game, their own person, and their own leader.
YOU WANT TO BE AROUND THESE GIRLS!
They are here and play for the right reasons. They represent “Iron sharpens Iron” better than anyone I’ve ever known and coached.”
Jordan Ode
Hi, my name is Jordan! This school year I am a Sophomore at Maple Grove Senior High and play Varsity for the Maple Grove Crimson. In the summer I will be playing AAU for the Fury organization, on their 2025 UAA team. I am a straight A student and also play saxophone in the band. I’ve been playing basketball since 1st grade and through all the hours of practice, and the coaches that pushed me, I learned that failure is the best possible outcome to becoming successful. You will never be able to avoid failure, it is inevitable. So instead of getting discouraged when you fail, you should rise to the challenge and practice until you succeed. I love working with kids, and teaching your kids how to play the game of basketball would make my day every day! I am also a huge believer in having fun and enjoying the process of training.
Varsity Assistant MG Coach Bob Dubois
“Jordan Ode is the first player in the gym and the last to leave! While there, she utilizes her time working on her skills, competing with others, and having fun! Jordan loves the game of basketball, has a great personality, and works well with others. I’m confident your child will have an incredible time training and developing their basketball skills working with Jordan.”
Addie Hanna
My name is Addie Hanna and I am a Sophomore at Maple Grove High School! I am playing on the Maple Grove Varsity/JV team this season. I also play softball in the Maple Grove High School program. I play for Crossfire Tusler during the AAU season and am on the A honor roll. I have been playing basketball since 1st grade. I love basketball and want to teach and train kids to play the game the right way and to have fun! Through hard work and determination, you can accomplish anything!
Crossfire Coach and MG Girls Basketball Alumni Angie Davison
“Bella, Lexi, Addie, and Jordan are always willing to take charge, be leaders, and make those quick decisions. They know what it means to put a team on their backs. The competitiveness is endless with these girls. They push one another to be their best and pick up those around them. It is a joy watching these four young women grow both on and off the court. I love every minute I have had with each of them. A complete POWER group!”
Bella Hanna
My name is Bella Hanna and I am a Sophomore at Maple Grove High School. I am playing on Maple Grove Varsity/JV this season. I have been playing basketball for 9 years and love it a lot! I also played softball on the sophomore (B-Squad) team this past spring and was the varsity goalie this fall for the girls soccer team. In the spring I play AAU for Crossfire Tusler. I am also on the A honor roll at school. I want to teach kids the fundamentals of basketball, teach them the right way to play, and help them enjoy playing it!
Maple Grove Girls Basketball Varsity Assistant Coach Jon Leyse
“I am writing on behalf of Addie, Lexi, Bella Hanna, and Jordan Ode. I have had the opportunity to work with these 4 ladies for the past three years in the Maple Grove Basketball Program. These 4 made huge impacts on our program this year at the Sophomore and Varsity levels as 8th graders. Their work ethic over the summer and ability to be coached and learn new things is something special. Being an 8th grader and playing any high school sport is tough, but to be put into a role where you are playing with girls 2-4 years older than you is not easy. They all took the role they were given and ran with it. Whether it was practice or 6:00 AM workouts, these girls were there early and they left late each and every day. If there was an opportunity to do something basketball-related: film, weight lifting, or open gym they were there getting better each day and making the team better too.
When it comes to these four they are the kids who want to be in the gym all the time. They enjoy practice more than games. They love to compete and get better each day and they find true joy in the drills that most girls don’t. Whether it is a shooting drill, defensive drill, or a rebounding drill; these 4 are going to give it their all and get better with each rep they take. Not only do they make it a goal that they make sure they are getting better with each rep, but they also make sure to push their teammates to the breaking point as well. They put the team first and know what needs to be done so the team is successful. The work ethic of these 4 is special, but what makes them even better is their knowledge of the game and their understanding of it. They enjoy watching the film, breaking it down, and seeing what they need to do to get better. They see what they are struggling with and work to improve on it and see their strengths and utilize those to make the team better.
The knowledge of the game and the skills they have is what makes these 4 special, but what makes them stand out is that they are truly great kids who want to do well, and care about others. They all love basketball, but they know school is first, and then it’s basketball. They are active in the classroom and are standouts in their too. If I was looking for a group of kids to help my child or team get better at the game of basketball these 4 would be my choice. They are committed people who will give you everything they have on a daily basis. They work extremely hard at everything they do, but maybe more important, they are truly genuine good people who care about making peoples’ lives better and providing them with a positive experience. I have no doubt in my mind that Addie, Lexi, Bella Hanna, and Jordan Ode will be successful at anything they do because they have the work ethic and determination to make positive change in this world each and every day.”
